Welcome to Our Dia-Foot Blog

November is National Diabetes Month!

There is a continued increase in the number of U.S. adults with diabetes (both diagnosed and undiagnosed) each year. In 2021, 38.4 million people of all ages in the U.S. had diabetes. Among adults, it was 11.6 % of the population. There were also about 97.6 million adults (38 % of U.S. adults) with prediabetes.

Some models project that over 22 % of the adult population in 2030 will have diabetes, if current trends persist. Podiatry practices will see more and more patients with diabetes.

Diabetes affects more than blood sugar. Over time, high blood sugar can lead to poor circulation and nerve damage in diabetic feet — making it harder for diabetics to feel injuries or pressure points. That’s why foot care is one of the most important parts of diabetes management.

At Dia-Foot we are dedicated to providing your practice with PDAC approved diabetic shoes and inserts for all lifestyle needs to help protect one of the most important parts of your patient’s health — their feet. More diabetic patients = greater need for foot-care vigilance especially for neuropathy, vascular issues and foot ulcers.

This National Diabetes Month, take a step toward healthier feet for your diabetic patients. Dia-Foot is here to help every step of the way!
